Michael Keh, also known as Dr. Keh, is the main antagonist in Chapter 3. He is a world-renowned master chef and entrepreneur. He is mentioned in Chapter 4 by his former rival, Angelica Béchamel. In Chapter 5, he makes another major appearance as one of the ZArena competitors.
Appearance[]
Keh has wavy medium-length blue hair and a long, pointy nose. He wears a white lab coat over a blue dress shirt and teal necktie. He has blue eyebrows with large ears and a grey pen sticking out of his pocket.
Personality[]
His life's work in finding the perfect flavor proves him to be a dedicated and capable scientist. However, it also reveals his weakness of being a highly analytical perfectionist who is not averse to cheating to get what he wants. He is shown to be egoistic, excessively caring for his reputation.
History[]
Keh graduated with a doctorate's degree in Food Science. He gained fame as an entrepreneur after crafting the "perfect pizza" and opened his own five-star restaurant, Ambrosia. He created a flavor enhancer after he lost one of the annual Ovenist competitions at the National Institute of Toppings as his pizzas were too bland. The use of his secret flavor enhancer enabled him to win PizzaPalooza five years in a row and caused Ambrosia's business to skyrocket, stealing customers from local pizzerias and forcing Béchamel's family's pizzeria to permanently close.
Plot[]
Chapter 3[]
Mark my words: the prize money, the accolades, it's all mine. I'm about to show you what happens to fools who stand in my way.
In Chapter 3, Keh checks out his competition and visits your pizzeria, which has been trending on OrderUp. Plant Lady, who suspects Keh has become famous through illegitimate means, warns you to watch your back while she tries to find out more. It is later revealed that Keh has been using a flavor enhancer formula to make his food taste better. Plant Lady will give you the option of using the formula against Keh to win PizzaPalooza.
If you win PizzaPalooza, Keh will accuse you of stealing his formula and using it against him to win the competition. If you did use it, he will vow his revenge, saying there was no way he could have been beaten without the formula. If you did not use it, Keh will admit there is something his years of research failed to yield and that he still has much to learn.
At the end of Chapter 3, depending on the outcome of PizzaPalooza and whether you used the formula or not, Keh will either be discredited and wanted for fraud or he will close down Ambrosia and dedicate the rest of his life to finding the perfect flavor.
Chapter 4[]
Keh and his flavor enhancer is mentioned in Chapter 4 as being the reason why Béchamel's family's restaurant shut down.
Chapter 5[]
If Keh is shown his mugshot after the other characters have been interviewed and realizes his reputation isn't positive, he's willing to prove he's innocent. After you get him 300 Artichokes, Keh lets you search his shop. A Pizza Chain Mockup is found, showing his plans to acquire the dough and sell frozen pizzas. This, when shown to Nasir, does not influence the story and becomes redundant.
Near the end of the chapter, when he is shown the completed Stone Tablet, he admits Octavia Bell speaks like an ancient Romano sometimes. He also decides that he is in terrible danger, as Julius Cheeser wants to take over the mind of the best Ovenist (which Keh thinks is himself). He is willing to let you use his freezer to seal the Dough, which will defeat Cheeser, as long as something can enhance its power. At the end of the chapter, he visits your pizzeria to praise himself for his part in sealing the Dough.
