Eggplant is a Fruit ingredient unlocked in Chapter 1 as a gift from a special customer. It is the fourth topping available in the game.
When ordering, customers may use egg puns, mention breakfast, or refer to them as "large purple tomato things."
Acquisition[]
On Day 4, Plant Lady will visit the pizzeria offering a special gift in exchange for a free pizza. Make her any pizza and she will give a potted plant in return that will be placed on the front counter of the pizzeria. You will be tasked with watering the plant daily until it's ready to harvest, at which point she will return on Day 8 and request an eggplant pizza.
Eggplant can then be unlocked for free on Night 8 in the Toppings section of the shop.
Pricing[]
- Costs nothing if harvested Eggplant is stocked; otherwise, it costs 1.26
per pizza (0.07 a piece). - Sells for 1.30 per pizza.
Upgrade[]
The Eggplant Autobuddy can be purchased for 40 
in the Upgrades section of the shop.
Topping skins[]
The Egg-Phantom topping skin is available temporarily for all players during Halloween events. It was first available for in-app purchase during the 2022 Monster Mash event in the Halloween Topping Trio bundle, along with skins for Mushroom and Onion.
The Pansy Eggplant topping skin was an in-app purchase introduced in the 2024 Mother's Day event in the Botanical Topping Skins bundle, along with skins for Pepperoni and Onion.

Potted version[]
Eggplant has 6 growth stages, ranging from seedling to harvestable fruit. It must be watered for 5 game days before it's ready to harvest.
A water drop icon 
will be shown to remind players to water their new plant daily.
At the end of its growth cycle, the eggplant fruit will be ready to harvest, denoted by a soft glow around the plant and a hand icon 
allowing players to pick the fruit.

Once acquired, Eggplant will be in its own box in the kitchen workspace. It will have a gauge that will steadily deplete showing how much free eggplant is left in stock. If empty, you will have to pay Pizza Funds to use it (see the Pricing section above for more information).
Garden version[]
After finishing Chapter 4, you will be able to plant Eggplants in the Garden, which cost 4 
per seed. Eggplants in the garden take 10 hours to fully mature.

Trivia[]
- Before version 4.0.0, it was the only topping in the game that had to be harvested to replenish its stock and was completely cost-free to you.
- Before version 4.1.0, it was not required for variable recipes or recipes that required fruits, and was only necessary on pizzas that specifically asked for it.
- In a previous version, it was the only missable topping in the game (if you did not give Plant Lady a pizza, you were unable to buy Eggplant later on).
- For players who unlocked Eggplant before version 4.0.0, it is located between Basil and Shrimp in the kitchen workspace.
