Lunar New Year Event (2022)

The 2022 Lunar New Year Event was an event available from January 31 (12:00 AM) until February 13, 2022 (11:59 PM) local time.

Gameplay

Through the event, you could buy decorations inspired by the Lunar New Year theme. When a decoration item had been bought, it was permanently added to your decorations. In addition, Kimmy Slice and the Traveler made an appearance at the pizzeria.

Kimmy Slice

During the first in-game day of the event, Kimmy Slice visited you, giving a gift of 88.88 . When you responded with "Thank You," she came back the next in-game day and gave them the Blue Red Flag Lamp.

Traveler

The Traveler appeared during the event and ordered pizzas inspired by Chinese and Korean cuisine. The solutions to her orders can be found on the customer orders page.

Event activities

There were three types of activities you could do during the event: make 20 pizzas, play 5 in-game days, and spend 200 . Each activity had 6 levels.

Trivia

• The 2022 Lunar New Year event was the first Lunar New Year update where players could complete event activities. Previously, Lunar New Year updates only introduced new decorations.
• For a few real-life days, PNN will air broadcasts about facts regarding Lunar New Year in China and South Korea.
• The number 8 appeared rather often in the price values of some decos, and in Kimmy Slice's gift. This is because the Chinese for "eight" (bā) sounds like the Chinese for "to become rich" (fā).
  • The number 88 also looks like the Chinese character for "double joy" (囍).
  • Ironically, there were only 4 garden decorations, despite 4 being an unlucky number in China and South Korea.
