It's the riddle of pizza, buddy.

Peppertiti is a character that appears in Chapter 2. She will show up near the end of the chapter once you have completed all the Stewards of Sacred Ingredients challenges. Hers is the final challenge that must be completed in order to unlock Chapter 3. She appears again in Chapter 5, giving you a piece of a Stone Tablet.

Appearance[]

Peppertiti’s head and upper body are almost entirely covered in linen bandages, save for a glimpse of her medium-deep skin just visible beneath the pink sunglasses hiding her eyes. The gold headpiece adorning her head has a simple design with a pink jewel at its center. Her wig resembles a Nubian wig, with a straight fringe and accented with gold pieces. She wears a black "I ♥ ZA" short-sleeved tee, khaki bottoms, a purple zippered waist bag, and three gold bangles on each wrist.

Personality[]

Peppertiti initially uses poetic language to communicate, but if asked "What?" she will switch to a more colloquial form of speech. Her love for pizza appears to be unmatched by any other character in the game.

History[]

I was interred before the dawn
And waned without a taste
Of joy, of tears, of anger, of fears,
Or of a lover's sweet embrace

Peppertiti is described as a Pizzian pharaoh. In a Pizza News Network story, a professor from the Pizzachusetts Institute of Tasteology hypothesizes that her cause of death was lack of pizza. During your short interactions with her, she admits that she "died without experiencing life" and her "existence went unfulfilled because pizza hadn't been invented yet."

Plot[]

Chapter 2[]

Peppertiti's tomb is uncovered by a team of archaeology students from Notre Dough. She goes missing soon after, and the public thinks it could be a curse foretold by the saucesayers who left behind scrolls predicting the future, although experts haven't been able to decipher them.

She appears at the pizzeria a couple times before the last two festivals in the chapter. On her third and final appearance, after completing the last Steward challenge, she gives you one last challenge to complete. Afterwards, Peppertiti returns back to her tomb as mysteriously as she had disappeared, much to the confusion of the public.

Chapter 5[]

Peppertiti's first appearance in the chapter is when she asks for a mushroom and fig pizza. Soon, she prophesises that matters will get hectic for you and warns you to be wary of your surroundings as everyone has secrets. She arrives again with a piece of the Stone Tablet, asking you to again be wary. At the end of the chapter, she thanks you for getting rid of the threat of Julius Cheeser.

Trivia[]

  • Peppertiti is based off of Neferneferuaten Nefertiti (c. 1370 – c. 1330 BC), an Egyptian queen and the Great Royal Wife of Egyptian Pharaoh Akhenaten.
  • Another mummy, Toppingkhamun, is briefly mentioned in a PNN news story. His name is likely based off of Tutankhamun (c. 1342 BC – c. 1325 BC), an Egyptian pharaoh who was the successor following Nefertiti's reign and son of Akhenaten.
