The total profit the pizzeria receives at the end of the day is based on revenue, tips, refunds, rent, supplies used, and repairs.
Revenue[]
Revenue refers to the initial amount customers are charged for their order. Every ingredient in the game is valued at a fixed price which is used to calculate the cost to the customer per half pie, with the exception of doughs as those cannot be sold by halves.
Tips[]
Tips depend on your ovenist skills and whether you fulfilled the customer's order correctly. In some cases, if a customer isn't very happy with their order, they may not offer any tip at all. There are also certain upgrades that affect customer happiness and, in turn, the amount of tips received.
Refunds[]
Getting a customer's order completely wrong or taking too long to prepare an order may affect earnings. Unhappy customers may ask for refunds on their food, fees which must be paid in addition to any fees already spent buying ingredients.
Expenses[]
You will have to pay some expenses for the pizzeria to run efficiently. Some fees, such as rent, are automatically deducted from the shop's funds daily. Others, such as oven repairs, are optional to purchase, but business and profit may suffer if the issues aren't fixed right away.
Rent[]
In Chapter 1, the pizzeria will incur a 10 fee for rent that will be deducted daily from the shop's funds. Whether the pizzeria does well or not has no effect on how much rent is charged in Chapter 1.
Starting in Chapter 2, the landlord will announce the shop's rent has been leased to Pie Chart, a new app that will be on the MyPad. Depending on how good or bad the pizzeria's rating is in Pie Chart will determine the amount paid for rent. In other words, the higher the shop's rating, the cheaper rent will be. As in Chapter 1, rent will be deducted daily.
Pie Chart Rating | Rent |
---|---|
15 /day | |
12.50 /day | |
10 /day | |
7.50 /day | |
5 /day |
Supplies used[]
Each ingredient adds value to a customer's order, but also costs cash to use. Ingredients are charged per piece, with the exception of Doughs and Cheeses. For example, a pepperoni pizza that uses only 14 pieces of Pepperoni will be a little cheaper to make than one that uses the recommended 18 pieces.
Additionally, if you have harvested ingredients stocked from the Garden or Plant Pot, those toppings will be free to use until the gauge on the topping box is depleted, at which point you will be charged per piece until more are harvested.
Repairs[]
All available repairs will appear under the Repairs tab, which is only accessible at night when the store has closed. While the trigger for repairs appears randomly, you will get hints that something will need to be fixed depending on the type of repair needed.
It's best to take care of repairs immediately before the next day starts, as failing to do so may negatively impact your profits for that day or cost even more in the long run.
