The Story app is one of eight available apps for the MyPad and can be unlocked as early as Chapter 1. It shows players their progress in a story, if one is active. Formerly, stories only appeared during limited-time events and were unrelated to the main story, which is separated by chapter. However, as of update 4.24.0, the story app has both chapter and event stories, including the already completed ones. Although only the timelines of ongoing stories are shown in the app.
Acquisition[]
After receiving and unlocking the MyPad on Day 3 of Chapter 1, players will have access to the Story app if there is an active story available. Otherwise, it will unlock during the first event players participate in. It is the only app apart from the Achievement and Quest apps that is made immediately available after receiving the MyPad on Day 3.
Sections[]
Starting version 4.24.0, the Story app is divided into three sections, which can be seen on the left-hand side of the app's interface: Chapter Stories, Ongoing Stories, and Event Stories. The Chapter Stories section is chosen by tapping on the top button in the app, showing all the main stories you have gone through from Chapter 1 to Chapter 4. The middle section is the Ongoing Stories section, showing the timeline of the story or stories that you are currently playing. The Event Stories section at the bottom is similar to that of Chapter Stories, showing the stories for all the events you have gone through, provided the event story has a timeline. If you skip an event which has a story timeline, the bottom-right-hand corner of the story will say "Ended" instead of "Completed".
