The Summer Event in 2020 was available from August 20[1] to September 22, 2020.[2]
Gameplay[]
Seeds and Sauces[]
A man in a green shirt visited your pizzeria, asking for a cheese pizza with pesto sauce. After being given the pizza, the man left the pizzeria, saying that he'd tell everyone how good the pizza was. The next day, his twin brother (who wore a red shirt) came in, stating his disagreement. He came again into the pizzeria trying to prove that Tomato Sauce belonged on pizza by counting how many pizzas used which sauce in a span of three days, saying that the more often a certain sauce is ordered made that sauce the better one.
A few days had passed, the man in red was back, saying that he'd lost count before coming back the next day with a new challenge: the more toppings used with a certain sauce made that sauce the better one. After the challenge was over, the twin wearing green visited the pizzeria upset, before leaving. Seeing this made the other twin feel bad, so he decided to make things right. The twins then went back the next day into the pizzeria, saying that they were sorry, before ordering a pizza with both Pesto and Tomato Sauce.
Finishing the storyline during the event rewarded you with a Cactus Pot,[3] while finishing the story after version 4.25.1. gives you 100 instead.
Gardening[]
The community garden was introduced by Plant Lady, who showed you how to play the garden mechanic of the event. Here, you could grow a plant in a garden bed and earn crops which could be used as either toppings or sauces.
In order to get crops, you had to first plant seeds in an empty garden bed. You then had to water the plant and wait for it to grow. You could speed up the process using fertilizers. When a plant was fully grown, you could harvest it. Harvesting Tomatoes gave you free Tomato Sauce, Basil gave free Pesto, and Eggplant gave free Eggplants.[3]
